Safety Considerations You Need to Know Before or After Buying an E-Bike

The PVE Neighborhood Watch is pleased to coordinate an e-bike safety session for residents of PVE.   We are working with the PVE PD and community leaders to provide educational information and a Q&A session.

We have been hearing from a number of residents about safety concerns primarily about youth e-cyclers in our City.  We felt it would be helpful to address questions and provide youth, parents and other residents with information about e-bikes.  Whether you are thinking about purchasing and e-bike or you have already purchased an e-bike or wonder what are the rules for riding e-bikes in our city, this will be an informative meeting.

There are some unique considerations for e-bikes for both adults and youth and having this awareness is a first step in educating riders and parents of youth riders.

Items to be covered:
  • How an ebike is different than a bike
  • Issues/dangers with youth having an e-bike
  • Precautions and safety measures for youth and riders
  • Rules of the road and resources for safety
  • Q&A session

Recording to be posted soon.....the holidays have been busy!!
