Alert SouthBay:  Primary emergency Notification System OF PVE

Picture

As of March 31, 2020, the PVE PD and City of PVE migrated to Alert SouthBay for their emergency announcements to the city.  This service has taken the place of Nixle.  Residents who were on Nixle were moved to Alert SouthBay.  If you have not been receiving notifications or if you want to change your settings, go to Alert SouthBay to sign-up or update your preferences.

Other cities in the South Bay, such as Redondo Beach, El Segundo and Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Torrance also have already migrated.  You can also go to the PVE City website for more information about the AlertSouthBay program.

The AlertSouthBay notification system is one of the key components of the newly launched (as of May 2023) KNOW YOUR ZONE program in which all PV cities are participating.  To find out more about KNOW YOUR ZONE, go to pvpready.gov.
