Celebrating Officer Marcelle Herrera
One of the best partners PVE Neighborhood Watch and our residents could boast of is our Community Relations Officer Marcelle Herrera. She has been a tireless contributor to our community and one of the most recognizable faces of the PVE PD.
Her contributions to PVECARES and our emergency preparedness programs over her many years of service have been extensive and only a partial list of the things she has contributed to our community since she arrived. She is someone who has given her skills, experience and heart to make our Community a safer and more wonderful place.
This is our community's tribute to her years of service. We send her off with love and appreciation!!

"To find a replacement for Marcelle, Palos Verdes Estates would have to hire at least 4 people - no one person could possibly give as many hours of service and dedication. We will miss her terribly. But thank you for all you have done!" -- Valerie Gorsuch

"Marcelle has been a special part of our Community all these years. I've had the honor of working with her as President and Board Member of the PVE Neighborhood Watch. Her commitment to our City and to excellence is a tribute to her personal work ethic. We will miss her as an incredible contributor and as a friend." -- Karen Logan

"I have worked with Marcelle since the beginning of the PVE Disaster Prepardness Program and it has blossomed with her guidance. But moreover, she has been the driver for all the police department community service programs. It is those programs that largely endear us to our PVEPD and make it so special. We all – including the PVEPD – will miss you. Thank You, Marcelle!!" -- Dwight Abbott

"Thank you Marcelle for interviewing me back in 2012 for the position of PVE Neighborhood Watch Newsletter Editor. That was the first time we met. From that point on, I had the privilege of working with you and enjoyed getting to know you. You will be a very hard person to replace. You touched the hearts of so many people and I treasure our time working together. I wish you much happiness and good health in your retirement. You will be missed." -- Kay H.
