PVE Emergency Preparedness Forum

September and October are two months that the Nation focuses on emergency preparedness.
Palos Verdes Estates has its own unique set of safety risks that require safety plans:

  • Power lines and equipment are old and unplanned outages occur
  • PVE is a designated High-Risk Fire Zone (link to source)
  • Our City is slightly remote and there are limited exit points
  • PVE has lots of parkland and open space that contain wildlife, large trees and brush

Before we enter the holidays, it is a good time to do a quick check on our emergency preparedness for fire, earthquake and power outages.
