PVE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH BOARD - Roles & ResponSIbilities
Your Neighborhood Watch Board is made up of community volunteers and meets monthly to discuss the direction and plans for the organization.
The Officers of the PVE NW includes the following positions (5.01 of By-Laws):
Any member of the PVE Neighborhood Watch over the age of eighteen (18), in good standing, who is familiar with the responsibilities and duties of the office, and is willing to serve if elected, is qualified to become an Officer.

Officer DEscriptions & Duties
These are the duties of the officers of the Corporation (PVE Neighborhood Watch), as outlined in Section 5 of the By-Laws and through our regular practice.
Duties of President
The President supervises and controls the affairs of the Corporation. (S)he shall perform all duties incident to his or her office and such other duties as may be required by law, by the Articles of Incorporation of this Corporation, or by these Bylaws, or which may be prescribed from time to time by the Board of Directors.
(S)he shall preside at all meetings of the Members and of the Board of Directors, prepare the agenda, assist in preparing the annual budget, and appoint the Directors, other than elected Officers, and committees as necessary.
Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, the Articles of Incorporation, or these Bylaws, (s)he shall, in the name of the Corporation, execute such deeds, contracts, checks, or other instruments which may from time to time be authorized by the Board of Directors. (S)he shall also, ex officio, be a member of all standing committees of the Corporation.
Duties of Vice-President
In the absence of the President, or in the event of his or her inability or refusal to act, the Vice-President shall perform all the duties of the President, and when so acting shall have all the powers of, and be subject to, all the restrictions on the President.
The Vice President also serves at the coordinator of PVE NW Events, ensuring that there is a team to lead and execute the objectives of the event.
Duties of Secretary
The Secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings of the Members and of the Board of Directors and shall maintain them in a permanent record which shall be made available at all meetings. He/she will summarize the year’s work of the PVE NW at the annual meeting.
The Secretary ensures thank yous are sent for gifts provided by donors.
Duties of Treasurer
The Treasurer shall have custody of and deposit funds of PVE NW; receives dues and donations and pays bills for PVE NW. He/she keeps the financial records and provides an annual report of such account at the Annual Meeting or whenever requested by the Board of Directors.
The Treasurer also prepares the annual budget, with the President and prepares all statements or reports required by any Federal or State agency.

PVE Neighborhood Watch is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1980 to encourage neighbors to watch out for one another and work with our PVE Police Department to report suspicious activities in our community.
