Share SOME Love In Our City!

Picture
February 2023
Let's Appreciate our City Workers & Volunteers!

Let’s share a little love this month with the many volunteers, community workers and first responders who give of their time and talents to make PVE the special place we call home.

Take a few minutes today and send an email or a note to thank someone in our community for the work they do.

  • Our City Council:  Each City Council member is a volunteer who also has a job and a family. They spend many hours in City Council and other South Bay or PV-wide meetings.  They also take time to prepare and make sometimes difficult decisions for our community.
  • Our Police & Fire:  These dedicated people work to provide quick response times and community services. Our PVE PD have worked with our City during lean times to help with budget constraints.  They serve loyally and skillfully.
  • Our City Staff:  Whether in the office or on our streets and parks, these are often unsung contributors, doing the day-to-day work to keep bills paid, streets functioning and parklands safe.  Many times their jobs require challenging tasks, such as enforcing codes, providing citations and collecting fees. Their hard work ensures that we keep our City running smoothly.
  • Our Volunteer Organizations:  PVE Neighborhood Watch is proud to work with other volunteers in our community such as the VIPS, Parkland Rangers, PVE-CARES, DDP and our own Block Captains.  We have enjoyed engaging with the MCHA & LBHOA  volunteers who serve our community, too.
